Do you have your Ukraine place of residence registration (propiska)? Is it up to date? The Ukrainian government keeps a record of where all individuals in the country reside, whether they are citizens or foreigners.
A measure to ensure your safety
Zalizniak & Associates can assist its clients in completing their application for an initial place of residence registration in Ukraine, or in making changes to an already existing registration.
The following documents are required to process a place of residence registration:
- A client’s Ukrainian passport
- A residence permit or a refugee identification card
- Documents proving the client’s residence in a household
- A deregistration certificate if the application involves a change to an already existing resident registration
Ukrainian law also requires that any change in residence be communicated to governmental authorities within ten days. Individuals who fail to do so may face an administrative fine.
